We Support Diverse Families
At Westdale we know that families come in many diverse configurations. We are committed to being an inclusive space which means that we are dedicated to supporting all self-identified families in their spiritual journeys.
Sunday Morning Worship
We provide children’s programming on Sunday morning’s during the worship service.
The following options are available for your children. We want you to feel at home.
- They are welcome to stay with you in church.
- You are welcome to take them to the ‘gathering area” at the back of the sanctuary during the service. There you will find books, quiet toys, crayons, paper and rocking chairs for your use.
- There is a “preschool play room” in the lower level. Someone will be glad to help you find it and stay with you or your children if you would like to use it for your preschooler.
- If your child(ren) is 3 years or older we hope they will join us in church school. At the beginning of the service during the first hymn we go to the front of the sanctuary. When “Conversation Time” is over, we go to Friendship Hall in the lower level for church school. (Located down the stairs at the back of the sanctuary entrance)
If you have any questions please as one of our greeters or speak to our church school coordinator.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with church school. It is a great way for high school and university students to gain experience and all of our volunteers are screened and have police checks. Please contact the office if you would be interested in helping with our Sunday morning programs.
