BOOKING
Please book the date and time of the wedding with our administrator, and complete this
wedding planner form. It can be dropped off, mailed or emailed to the church.
Please try to complete this form at least three months in advance. Your non-refundable $500 (cash, cheque or e-transfer to [email protected]) deposit will confirm your booking date.
INTERVIEW
If service is performed by one of our Ministers, please arrange to meet with them to discuss your wedding service with us. A variety of options for your service can be included within the legal requirements of the wedding.
REHEARSAL
A rehearsal time can be arranged for before the service, usually the evening or two before. This helps to make your wedding flow without anxiety. It helps to have your full wedding party at the rehearsal.
MUSIC
Live music for weddings in Westdale United Church can be arranged with our Music Director who will be happy to discuss the choice of music to be used at your wedding. Live musicians would generally be available to attend the rehearsal.

If the marriage ceremony is being streamed to our YouTube channel, ALL music choices (live or recorded) must be reviewed with the Music Director for copyright compliance.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Please have your professional photographers and videographers meet with the minister before the service. They will be able to take discreet pictures during the service. We discourage others from taking pictures during the service since it is distracting. All are welcome to take pictures at the time of the signing of the registration documents. Westdale United Church does have a YouTube channel and the ability to stream your wedding live (and provide you with a link to the recorded video). This service requires additional staff expertise and additional fees (see below).
DÉCOR
The couple is responsible for flowers, pew bows, candles, etc. Please arrange to have them delivered and placed ahead of the service, and removed following the ceremony. No confetti or rice (or similar items) are allowed in the building or on the grounds outside. Limited petals/leaves (i.e., flower girl/boy) are acceptable in the aisle for the procession.
LICENSE
Please purchase a marriage license from any city hall in Ontario no more than 90 days before the wedding.
